Position:  Operations Manager

Where are you from? I was born and raised in Istanbul.

How long have you been working for Fez Travel? I started as a trainee in 2009, and I have been here full time since 2011.

What does your job involve?   I am responsible for organising airport transfers, booking hotels and allocating which of our tour guides and buses will do which tour – basically making sure that everything on the ground runs smoothly.

What is your favourite place in Turkey?  I love the ruins site of Ephesus, which is near the town of Selçuk, and just 20 minutes from the coastal town of Kuşadası. The ruins there are really amazing, and when you walk through Ephesus, it really feels like you are back there in ancient times, walking along the street.

What is your favourite part of your job?  I am very lucky because I get to see new places as part of my job.  I have also made so many great friends at Fez – we spend long days together, especially in summer when we are so busy with all of our escorted tours, that we are more like a big family.

Tell us about this photo?  This photo is of me at my sister’s wedding.  The lovely ladies with me in the photo are my cousins.  It was a great day and night.

What do you like to do in your free time? In my free time I like to hit the road with my friends and visit places we haven’t been to before in Turkey – there is so much to see, it’s such a big country.  The last place we visited was Antalya and nearby Alanya – there was lots to do there, and we had a great time.
